Hello!

Welcome to Fort Wayne Ice Skating Club (FWISC).  We are a Member Club of the US Figure Skating (USFS) organization.

We partner with SportONE Parkview Icehouse for all skating classes.

The FWISC is a skating club that allows you to:
 

  • Compete in events as a member of FWISC

  • Earn individual medals & take USFS tests

  • Earn potential scholarship for skating activities

  • Make new friends and be part of a talented community of skaters

What are the benefits of ice skating?  There are many! 

  • It develops focus and attention span.

  • It is a year-round activity

  • Kids who can't run fast can still learn how to skate fast, and it is a great feeling!

  • Ice skating teaches kids to get up after falling. And to keep getting back up after each fall.

  • Even the youngest kids can learn to skate with confidence.

  • Teenagers always have a place to hang out and be with like-minded friends.

  • Ice skating is a lifetime enjoyment!

Learn to Skate USA

SNOWPLOW SAM 1-4

  • Ages 3-5, no experience, helmets required

BASIC 1-4

  • Ages 6 & Up, no experience

FREESTYLE

  • All level of skaters

  • Skaters allowed to practice

  • Private or semi-private lessons take place during freestyle sessions

Intermediate Program

ASPIRE (Prerequisite Basic 4 in Learn to Skate USA)

  • Basic 5 - Free Skate 3

SKATING ACADEMY

  • Complete USA Beginner level through Pre-Bronze Skating Skills Test

Elite Skating Academy

  • Bronze - Gold Skating Skills Test

  • Level based on USFS
    Skating Skills Test

PRIVATE Lessons

  • Contact skating director for more information

  • Discuss goals and determine if your child wants to skate recreationally or competitively.
